Dubai Islands, formerly known as Deira Islands, is a group of five man-made islands off the Deira coast developed by Nakheel. The master plan covers beaches, marinas, resorts, parks and new residential neighbourhoods, giving north Dubai a beachfront lifestyle that until recently was only found in Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah.

Location and access

The islands are linked to the mainland by bridges from Deira and sit close to Dubai International Airport, Deira's traditional souks and Dubai Creek. That puts them nearer the old city centre and the airport than most other beachfront districts, and makes them convenient for buyers who work in Deira, Bur Dubai or Sharjah.

Why investors are looking at Dubai Islands

Beachfront supply in Dubai is limited, and Dubai Islands is one of the few places where new sea-view homes are still being launched at prices well below Palm Jumeirah and Bluewaters. As hotels, the marina and retail open over the next few years, the islands are expected to attract holiday-home and long-term tenants alike.
